A Suburban Loft

We were approached by John & Paula to re-think the unfinished top floor of their house in Malahide. The design aims to maximise natural light in the existing space and provide order, focal points and calmness to the irregular shaped volumes.

Internal reconfigurations include creating a new snug, walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom which is separated from the bedroom with an incredibly slender glazed metal screen. Brass fittings pick up on the striking grey and gold veins running through the Calcatta marble that lines the bathroom and an oak herringbone floor adds warmth to the bedroom.

Our scope included the design of bespoke built-in furniture and lighting.
