Starting A Project - An Introduction to The Feasibility Study
What are they and why are they needed? What’s involved in them and what will I find out? These are the burning questions we are faced with when speaking to people daily.
So we decided to put together a series of blog posts about one of the key components for starting a project and shed a little light on the mysterious powers we architects seem to keep from the outside world!
We find that people generally fit into two camps, those that are nervous about starting a project and those that want to dive straight into the design. Feasibility studies provide both with what they need – specific research & analysis applied to their situation, giving them the chance to walk before they run and avoid costly surprises down the line.
In the series we will cover:
Establishing a budget
Figuring out timescales
Everything else in-between
